KVWMS Holds On-Site Discussion Meeting
with Nine Veterans Organizations in Wonju
The Korea Veterans Welfare and Medical Service (KVWMS) announced on March 5 that President Yoon Jongjin hosted a meeting in Wonju, inviting the heads of nine veterans organizations in the region to discuss local veterans’ issues and directions for future development.

View original imageThe meeting was attended by key veterans organization leaders from the Wonju area, including the Liberation Association, the Bereaved Families Association of Fallen Soldiers, the Order of Military Merit Recipients Association, and the Vietnam Veterans’ Agent Orange Association.
During the meeting, the veterans organization leaders presented a variety of opinions, including expanding support for elderly veterans, strengthening regional partnerships, and enhancing respect and benefits for veterans’ families. The Korea Veterans Welfare and Medical Service plans to review these suggestions and actively reflect them in its future operations.
Yoon Jongjin, President of the Korea Veterans Welfare and Medical Service, stated, “Honoring veterans is a fundamental national value that should be respected across generations. We will listen closely to voices from the field and use them as a foundation to develop practical support measures for veterans and their families.”
