Full Effort to Secure Inclusion in Government Budget
On March 4, Gapyeong County held the '2026 Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Areas and Food Industry Policy Council' at the integrated education center of the county's second government building, during which the budget proposal for agriculture, forestry, livestock, and food projects for 2027 was reviewed and finalized.

View original imageDuring the council meeting, projects under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs were examined mainly for their necessity, appropriateness, and expected effects. As a result of the review, a total of 29 projects with a budget proposal amounting to 11.9 billion won for 2027 were approved.
The Gapyeong County Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Areas and Food Industry Policy Council is chaired by County Mayor Seo Taewon and consists of 30 members, including heads of agriculture-related organizations, heads of agricultural groups, and farmers. The council operates through four subcommittees: agriculture, horticulture and special crops, livestock, and forestry. Each year, after deliberations by the subcommittees, the council prepares the budget proposal for agriculture, forestry, livestock, and food projects for the following year.
Based on the results of this council meeting, the county plans to actively respond during the central government’s deliberations and budget allocation processes to secure national funding.
