President Heo Namsik: "Grow into Talents Who Will Reach Out to the World"
Silla University (President Heo Namsik) held the entrance ceremony for the 2026 academic year, welcoming new students embarking on a new challenge.
The entrance ceremony, held on March 3, was organized to celebrate the energetic start of freshmen who have become new members of the university community and to share the university's vision for the future.
The event began at 10 a.m. in the main auditorium on the 4th floor of the university's Aviation Hall, starting with the opening address, followed by the national ritual, the declaration of admission, the freshman oath, a welcome speech from the president, introductions of key faculty members, a greeting from the student council, closing remarks, and a commemorative photo session. Despite the solemnity, a warm atmosphere was maintained, officially marking the new students' first steps as members of the university.
In his welcome speech, President Heo Namsik said, "I am confident that those of you taking new steps together with Silla University will become the protagonists leading the future." He encouraged them, saying, "I hope you will learn and grow to your heart's content here, following in the footsteps of your seniors who are excelling not only in Korea but also around the world."
He went on to say, "Silla University will be a strong pillar supporting the success of each and every one of you. I hope that with a firm belief in yourself, a spirit of challenge unafraid of failure, and creative thinking, you will actively participate in various programs, gain experience, and illuminate your own future."
The entrance ceremony concluded with the freshmen's oath, sharing their sense of responsibility and commitment as university members, and a welcoming address from the student council, marking the start of their journey as part of the community. After the ceremony, commemorative photos were taken to capture the first moments of university life.
