'15-Minute City Busan' Emerges as a Global Policy Model... MOU Signed with Sorbonne University's Chaire ETI in Paris

Busan City has embarked on international cooperation in Paris, France, to further develop its '15-Minute City' policy. The city plans to establish a global network by partnering with the very institute that played a pivotal role in creating this policy concept.
On February 27 at 2:00 p.m. local time in Paris, Busan City announced on March 1 that it had signed a memorandum of understanding for policy cooperation on the 15-Minute City with the Entrepreneurship, Regional and Innovation Institute (Chaire ETI) under Sorbonne University.
Chaire ETI is the research institute where Professor Carlos Moreno, who proposed the concept of the 15-Minute City, is affiliated. Since the early days of policy adoption, Busan City has maintained an advisory and cooperative relationship with this institute.
Busan City signed a memorandum of understanding for policy cooperation on the 15-minute city with the Entrepreneurship, Region, and Innovation Institute under Sorbonne University in Paris, France on the 27th.
View original imageUnder this agreement, the two organizations will cooperate in sharing the values and policies of the 15-Minute City, building a global network, and fostering public-private exchanges and collaboration. In the second half of this year, they plan to co-host an international conference in Busan to promote the development of 15-Minute City policies in Asia and strengthen global solidarity.
Busan City has been advancing the 15-Minute City policy by expanding key facilities such as Deullaknalak and Haha Center. With this agreement, the city aims to broaden policy exchanges with other global cities. Additionally, Busan will strengthen its urban design competitiveness in connection with its bid to host the 2028 World Design Capital (WDC).
