Any full member of the Jeongeup City Library is eligible to benefit, and, in partnership with Kyobo Book Centre, users can enjoy access to approximately 170,000 e-books and more than 3,500 audiobooks without restriction.
The most significant change is the complete removal of restrictions on the number of simultaneous loans. Previously, the "ownership-based e-book" system operated by the library limited the number of concurrent borrowers, just like with physical books, which meant long waits for popular titles or new releases.
However, with the newly introduced subscription-based e-books, there is no restriction on the number of people who can borrow a title at the same time, allowing users to read any book they want immediately, without waiting. Moreover, about 1,000 new titles will be continuously added every month, significantly improving citizens' access to reading materials.
To use the service, simply visit the Jeongeup City Library website, log in, and select "subscription-based e-book" from the electronic library page menu at the top. Books can be easily borrowed and read on any device, whether it is a PC, smartphone, or tablet.
