According to the Future Education Foundation on February 26, this project was prepared to discover and support various learning clubs in the region and to foster a resident-led culture of lifelong learning. The selected communities will be categorized as either "practice-oriented" or "advanced learning-oriented," depending on the nature of their activities, and will carry out sharing and volunteer activities or specialized learning activities by subject.
Through this year's project, the foundation will provide practical support to each community for expenses such as instructor fees, book purchases, and learning material costs. In particular, it plans to carefully review each community's operation plan, sustainability, and contribution to the local community and provide differentiated funding ranging from a minimum of 1 million won to a maximum of 1.5 million won.
A total of 60 communities applied during the one-month recruitment period held in February, demonstrating strong interest. The communities that were finally selected through a rigorous screening process will begin full-fledged learning activities starting in March. In addition, the foundation plans to hold a variety of events, such as performance-sharing sessions, to share learning outcomes with the local community and expand exchanges among communities.
