Seonmun University Earns “Excellent” Rating in Global Talent Employment Leading University Project
Full-cycle employment support system for international students delivers results... Company-discovery-based employment linkage strategy earns praise
Seonmun University received the highest rating, “Excellent,” in the performance evaluation of the “2025 Global Talent Employment Leading University Project” organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
Seonmun University was recognized comprehensively for the effectiveness of its support for foreign students’ employment and its achievements in linking with companies.
This evaluation was based on a review of the project’s operational performance over the past year. Seonmun University established an integrated full-cycle support system covering admission, study, employment, and settlement for international students, and pursued a “company-discovery-based employment linkage strategy,” under which the university itself discovers companies and proposes models for utilizing foreign talent, thereby differentiating itself.
In addition, it operated step-by-step programs such as a 320-hour specialized training course for mid-level managers in the logistics and distribution sectors that reflects industrial demand, practice-oriented employment camps, one-on-one customized consulting, and education on visas, labor law, and industrial safety.
As a result, the employment rate of participating international students increased, and the university achieved results across both quantitative and qualitative indicators, including a higher rate of repeat participation by companies and the discovery of new companies.
Furthermore, an internal collaboration system led by the Office of International Affairs, which links academic management, daily-life and psychological counseling, and employment support, also received positive evaluations.
In particular, the university drew attention for building a data-based matching system that analyzes academic achievement and job readiness in an integrated manner to manage potentially employable talent in advance and recommend them in line with corporate demand.
Currently, 3,340 international students from 58 countries are enrolled at Seonmun University. The university stated, “We are fostering international students not as mere education consumers, but as global talent who will help lead local industries together.”
