Cheongdo County Women’s Association Council Launches Eco-friendly Shopping Bag Sharing Campaign to Promote Carbon Neutrality
The Cheongdo County Women’s Association Council has taken meaningful steps to spread a culture of everyday environmental protection ahead of the Lunar New Year holidays.
The Cheongdo County Women’s Association Council announced that on the 9th, it held an "Eco-friendly Shopping Bag Sharing" event and a "Grocery Shopping Campaign" in front of the Cheongdo Nonghyup Hanaro Mart.
This campaign was organized to promote the practice of carbon neutrality in daily life by distributing eco-friendly shopping bags to residents visiting local marts and traditional markets for their holiday shopping.
Residents who took part in the event expressed high satisfaction with the campaign, saying, "It was an event that energized the local economy, and we hope it will be continued on a regular basis."
An official from the Cheongdo County Women’s Association Council said, "It may be a small action, but if the use of eco-friendly shopping bags spreads, it will greatly help protect the environment, and we hope that, together with county residents, an eco-friendly grocery shopping culture will take root."
