View original imageThis selection was finalized through deliberation and resolution by the Yeoncheon-gun Proactive Administration Committee, which conducted a comprehensive evaluation based on the following criteria: implementation of policies that residents can tangibly feel, improvement of unreasonable systems and practices, resolution of regulations and innovation in work processes, and proactive efforts to solve problems.
For the grand prize, Team Leader Kwon Inkyung and Officer Lee Sungju of the Agricultural Policy Division, who promoted the public contest for the pilot project on basic income for rural and fishing villages, were selected. For the excellence prize, Team Leader Lee Hyejin and Officer Son Taegon of the Tourism Division, who took on the challenge of hosting an international event by attracting the Paleolithic Expo, were selected.
For the encouragement prize, Officer Ryu Junho of the Future Strategy Office, Team Leader Yoon Yonghan of the Construction Division, Officer Kim Sangmin, and Officer Kang Sohyun of the Economy and Transportation Division were selected. For the innovation prize, Officer Kwon Heejeong of the Agricultural Policy Division, Team Leader Kim Namhee and Officer Shim Jihyun of the Architecture Division, and Team Leader Yoo Seongho of the Architecture Division were selected.
The selected outstanding public officials received high praise for prioritizing the public interest and residents' convenience in the course of performing their work, and for making proactive judgments and taking proactive actions, thereby enhancing trust in the administration and generating tangible results.
Yeoncheon-gun plans to grant various incentives to the selected outstanding public officials, including a commendation from the county mayor and cash rewards, additional points in personnel evaluations, and opportunities for overseas business trips. The county also plans to share best practices with all departments to spread a culture of proactive administration throughout the organization.
