LG Electronics Wins AHRI "Performance Award" for Ninth Consecutive Year
All Evaluated Models in Six Product Categories Win Awards for Three Consecutive Years
High-efficiency heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) solutions from LG Electronics, including high-efficiency heat pumps and chillers, have won the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) Performance Award for the ninth consecutive year.
Each year, AHRI randomly selects products from each manufacturer's product lines through designated testing laboratories in each field, such as the global testing and certification organization Intertek, and rigorously evaluates whether the actual performance of the products matches their specifications. A product category is eligible for the Performance Award only if all products selected for evaluation in that category have passed the primary performance test for three consecutive years. Thanks to this thorough verification and evaluation process, the award is widely trusted and respected by both the industry and consumers.

This year, six product categories were honored: large-capacity variable refrigerant flow (VRF) system air conditioners, air-cooled chillers (ACCL), water-cooled chillers (WCCL), air handling units (AHU), AHU and chiller heat exchangers (ACHC), and residential heat pump water heaters (RWH).
Multi V 5, LG Electronics' flagship large-capacity VRF system air conditioner, delivers outstanding performance and energy efficiency through its proprietary air-to-air heat pump technology, enabled by an in-house developed high-efficiency inverter compressor. Its three-stage compression technology maximizes heating efficiency, and it increases energy efficiency by controlling the optimal refrigerant charge in real time during cooling and heating operation. It maintains stable operation even in extreme cold and heat, making it particularly popular in North America, where winter temperatures drop significantly.
LG Electronics' air-cooled scroll chiller is a high-efficiency commercial model equipped with an inverter scroll compressor and can be easily installed in confined outdoor spaces such as rooftops. The water-cooled chiller, which removes condensing heat using cooling water, is characterized by excellent operating efficiency. It is used for process cooling in applications such as central HVAC systems in medium- and large-sized buildings, district cooling and heating, semiconductor cleanrooms, and data center cooling.

The differentiated competitiveness of LG Electronics' HVAC products and solutions stems from its core component technologies, collectively referred to as "Core Tech." LG Electronics independently develops and manufactures key components such as compressors and motors. The company is also continuing to make active research and development (R&D) investments to drive the ongoing evolution of core HVAC technologies, including heat exchangers, inverters, and heat pumps.
