On the 11th, the forum, led by Chairman Shin and its members, donated 120 boxes of seasoned laver and 50 sacks of newly harvested rice to local senior centers and welfare facilities. South Jeolla Provincial Assembly Member Choi Seonguk and Mokpo City Councilor Park Hyosang took part in the delivery ceremony, visiting the facilities in person to hand over the items.
This donation was organized to provide practical support to seniors and children from vulnerable groups, who are more likely to feel lonely during the Lunar New Year holiday. The donated seasoned laver and newly harvested rice will be distributed to users through each facility and senior center.
Chairman Shin said, "I am pleased that we are able to make donations to seniors every year during holidays such as Lunar New Year and Chuseok," adding, "It may be a small gesture, but I hope it helps make the holiday a warm one for local seniors and children." He went on to say, "We will continue to build a foundation that allows us to share on a steady basis and become an organization that grows together with the local community."
South Jeolla Provincial Assembly Member Choi Seonguk said, "The quiet, consistent practice of sharing for the sake of the region is having a profound impact on the local community," emphasizing, "Such voluntary donations by the private sector are becoming a strong force that helps fill the welfare blind spots." He added, "At the provincial assembly level as well, we will strengthen institutional support to assist vulnerable groups and promote a culture of sharing."

The forum has so far carried out community contribution activities alongside its environmental and energy policy research, and in addition to holiday sharing, it continues to run various social contribution programs to support vulnerable groups and promote local development.
A local official said, "Thanks to the delivery of these donated goods, seniors and children will be able to enjoy a slightly warmer holiday," adding, "The steady participation of private organizations is playing a role in further supplementing the local welfare system."
