Jeongeup City Museum Of Art To Hold Media Art Exhibition "Variety Bears"

The Jeongeup City Museum of Art will hold the citizen-participatory media art exhibition series "Variety Bears" from February 12 to July 19.

This exhibition will take place in Exhibition Halls 1 and 3, and has been designed as an "experience-centered" exhibition where visitors can directly see, hear, and engage with the works through video, sound, and creative spatial design, moving away from the conventional static viewing format.

The core content of the exhibition, the media art piece "BOOMING BEAR," features an unusual concept of a gigantic teddy bear appearing in natural landscapes. The emergence of this unfamiliar presence, contrasted against nature, offers visitors striking visual pleasure and playful imagination, encouraging them to see familiar scenery in a new light.

The exhibition will be released in three series over time. The first series, "Winter, WINTER," will run from February 12 to March 29; the second series, "Spring, SPRING," from April 2 to May 24; and the third series, "Gummy, GUMMY," from May 28 to July 19.

There will also be plenty of attractions throughout the exhibition space. Three photo zones have been set up, including at the museum entrance and on the first-floor lounge, and an educational experience zone linked to the exhibition has been created in Exhibition Hall 3. In particular, the first-floor lounge is decorated with a cozy winter landscape and spatial design that makes visitors feel as if they are walking through snow, offering a special sense of the season.

Opening hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. every day (last admission at 5:30 p.m.), and the museum will be closed on Lunar New Year’s Day and every Monday.
