Playconomy to Open March Intake for "Children's Play Economy Instructor" Course... "Offered Once a Year"
Playconomy, a company that develops economic education content for children, announced on the 10th that it will open the second cohort of its "Children's Play Economy Instructor" certificate course, a private qualification registered with the Ministry of Economy and Finance, in March. This course is a regular program offered only once a year, and this March intake is the only opportunity available in 2026.
Playconomy is an educational brand that combines "Play" and "Economy." It has been developing content and teaching aids that convey economic and financial concepts to children in an easy and fun way, using various methods tailored to their developmental stages such as fairy tales, games, play activities, and songs.
The "Children's Play Economy Instructor" is a private qualification divided into Level 1 and Level 2. Once a participant obtains the Level 2 certificate, they are qualified to teach all of Playconomy's economic education programs to children. Playconomy classes are characterized by being designed to help children think and choose for themselves and to understand the concept of investment.
Applicants must have at least a junior college degree, and those who are fluent in English or reside in the local area are given preference. Graduates of the course can work as instructors affiliated with Playconomy, and outstanding students are also given the opportunity to participate as authors of content published by the Playconomy Economic Content Lab.
The first cohort, held last year, drew strong interest from prospective instructors hoping to transition into economic education experts and from people preparing for a second career. Graduates are currently leading children's economic education as Playconomy instructors in both online and offline settings.
The second cohort will run from March to May, with the qualification examination scheduled for May 9. The curriculum is practice-oriented so that it can be applied immediately in the field, covering not only basic economic knowledge but also content production, lesson design, and practical teaching skills. It is structured to help participants internalize teaching methods through actual class demonstrations and feedback.
Following the "Children's Play Economy Instructor" course in the first half of the year, Playconomy plans to offer an advanced course titled "Story Literacy Instructor" in the second half. The Story Literacy Instructor course is a private qualification registered with the Ministry of Education and is designed to train teachers who can comprehensively guide children's reading comprehension, writing, and speaking skills.
The Story Literacy course is designed to help children develop the ability to organize their thoughts and express them in their own words by using background knowledge derived from economics, such as history, art, and music, as instructional material. Through this, Playconomy instructors acquire comprehensive teaching capabilities that integrate writing and speaking based on economic education. In fact, outstanding graduates of this course go on to participate in writing the "Playconomy Economic Fairy Tales."
