Gyeonggi Province Sets Tolls to Zero on Three Private Expressways from 15th to 18th for Lunar New Year
Free Tolls on Seosuwon–Uiwang, 3rd Gyeongin, and Ilsan Daegyo

Gyeonggi Province announced on the 10th that tolls will be waived for four days (a total of 96 hours) during the Lunar New Year holiday on three privately invested roads managed by the province: the Seosuwon–Uiwang Expressway, the 3rd Gyeongin Expressway, and Ilsan Daegyo. The exemption will apply from 12:00 a.m. on the 15th until midnight on the 18th.
Usage will be the same as usual: vehicles equipped with Hi-Pass should use the Hi-Pass lanes, while general vehicles should pass through the regular toll gates.
Gyeonggi Province forecasts that during the free-toll period over the Lunar New Year holiday, a total of approximately 1.39 million vehicles will use these roads, including 430,000 vehicles on the Seosuwon–Uiwang Expressway, 720,000 vehicles on the 3rd Gyeongin Expressway, and 240,000 vehicles on Ilsan Daegyo.
Since the Lunar New Year of 2017, Gyeonggi Province has implemented a free-toll policy every Lunar New Year and Chuseok holiday period, except during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Lee Yongwon, head of the Road Policy Division of Gyeonggi Province, said, "To provide convenience for road users such as people returning to their hometowns and tourists, we are implementing free tolls on the privately invested roads managed by the province during the Lunar New Year holiday period," adding, "We hope all residents of the province will enjoy a warm and comfortable Lunar New Year holiday."
