[Photo] Conservative Leader Appears for Police Questioning After Displaying Comfort Women Insult Banner in Front of School
Kim Byunghun, head of the National Action for the Abolition of the Comfort Women Law, who is accused of organizing protests that insulted victims of the Japanese military "comfort women" system, appeared at the Seocho Police Station in Seoul on February 3, 2026, for questioning as a suspect. Kim is also facing charges of violating the Assembly and Demonstration Act for holding up banners with phrases such as "Are you providing career guidance for prostitution by erecting comfort women statues on school grounds?" in front of Seocho High School in Seocho District and Muhak Girls' High School in Seongdong District last December.
