Hallym University was officially selected as the chair university for the 2026 Korea University e-Learning Council at the '2025 Korea University e-Learning Council Winter Conference and General Assembly', held under the theme 'Re:Connect, Re:Focus' at Hanwha Resort in Gyeongju from January 29 to 30.

Jinsook Kan, Director of the Education Innovation Center at Hallym University (Deputy Director of the Edutech Soft Lab Project Group), delivered a presentation at the conference titled "Opening the Future of Education Together with AI: Glocal Expansion of the K-Higher Education Model." She particularly highlighted Hallym University's higher education innovation strategy centered on 'KELI (K-University AI EduTech and Learning Initiative)'.

KELI is a national-level shared AI platform for higher education, led by Hallym University, that jointly develops, demonstrates, and disseminates AI-based higher education innovation technologies. It aims for structural innovation across higher education through joint demonstrations and sharing of outcomes among universities, open-source-based dissemination, and a consortium-based collaborative structure.

Director Kan introduced the 'Hallym AI Education Model' and the 'Hallym AI Education Solution (5A)' that implements it. The 5A is an integrated AI education ecosystem consisting of: ▲ALP (AI Learning Platform), ▲ALS (AI Learning Space), ▲ATLS (AI Teaching & Learning Services), ▲AAI (AI Analytics & Intelligence), and ▲ACT (AI Content & Tools).

She then announced the direction for project implementation in 2026. Starting in 2026, Hallym University plans to significantly expand the demonstration of higher education using AI courseware and accelerate the digital transformation of university education by operating step-by-step demonstration tracks, ranging from general courses to those already developed and advanced.

Director Kan stated, "Being selected as the chair university is a recognition of the AI-based educational innovation capabilities and practical experience that Hallym University has accumulated over the years," adding, "We will work closely with universities nationwide to design the future of higher education together."
