View original imageAt approximately 3:59 p.m. on January 27, a fire broke out at a metal processing manufacturing factory in Jinrye-myeon, Gimhae-si, Gyeongnam.
The entire factory was destroyed by the fire, but all 12 people, including factory personnel, evacuated safely and there were no casualties.
After receiving a report from a factory official, firefighters were dispatched and completely extinguished the fire by 5:29 p.m. on the same day.
During the incident, smoke spread to nearby areas, resulting in 17 fire reports being made to emergency services (119).
At 4:22 p.m., the city of Gimhae sent out a disaster alert message stating, "Currently, there is a factory fire in Gomo-ri, Jinrye-myeon, Gimhae-si, and firefighting efforts are underway. Please be cautious due to concerns about smoke damage and ensure your safety."
