View original imageOn this day, Vice Mayor Choi Byeonggap visited the Gamak Tunnel, a section vulnerable to icing, and two nearby cold wave shelters in Jeokseong-myeon to comprehensively inspect the operation status of the facilities and the state of safety management.
At the site, the inspection focused on the Gamak Tunnel, which has a high risk of icing, and checked the operation of snow removal and de-icing equipment, the stockpiling of snow removal materials, the functioning of the automatic brine spraying system, as well as drainage and road surface conditions. The on-site response system was also reviewed for high-risk areas such as tunnel entrances and shaded sections.
In addition, the inspection of the two nearby cold wave shelters in Jeokseong-myeon included checking whether operating hours were observed, the status of heating facilities, the user information system, and the convenience of use for vulnerable groups such as the elderly. The shelters were found to be operating stably overall.
