In 2026, approximately 10,500 residents born in 1956 will turn 70 and become eligible to apply after their birthday. These residents must newly issue or reissue a G-PASS transportation card, which is the same card used for free subway rides, at NongHyup (including Livestock Cooperative) banks in the Seongnam area.
Since the launch of the bus fare support program, about 71,000 seniors-roughly 66% of the 108,000 Seongnam residents aged 70 and over-have applied for bus fare support.
When using a newly issued or reissued G-PASS transportation card on metropolitan, city, or village buses operating in or passing through Seongnam, cardholders can receive transportation support for the amount paid, up to a quarterly limit of 57,500 won (maximum 230,000 won per year).
The support funds are calculated quarterly based on the amount paid when boarding the bus with the amount the recipient has loaded onto their transportation card. The funds are deposited into the recipient’s account at the end of the month following each quarter (January, April, July, and October).
