Daejeon City Appoints 48 'Village Tax Accountants' Assigned to Each District
Strengthening the Protection of Taxpayers' Rights through National and Local Tax Consultations
Daejeon City has appointed 48 tax accountants as the 6th class of Village Tax Accountants to continue providing free tax consultation services to citizens.
This appointment was made as the term of the 5th class of Village Tax Accountants ends at the end of 2025. The Village Tax Accountant system offers free tax consultation to citizens, such as small business owners, who have difficulty accessing tax accountant services.
The annual average number of consultations provided through Village Tax Accountants reaches approximately 3,500 cases, covering both local taxes such as property tax and acquisition tax, as well as national taxes including inheritance tax, gift tax, and capital gains tax.
The 6th class of Village Tax Accountants will be assigned to each district. Citizens who wish to receive consultation can check the list and contact information of nearby Village Tax Accountants, which is released on the websites of the city and district offices. They can then request a consultation by phone, email, or in person, specifying that it is for the Village Tax Accountant program.
The term of the 6th class of Village Tax Accountants is two years, from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2027.
