There have been ongoing concerns about flooding during heavy rainfall due to the narrow width of the upper stream and insufficient embankment maintenance.
The maintenance project will cover a total length of 0.6 kilometers in Naesa-ri, Heungcheon-myeon, Yeoju City, widening the stream (from 6-14 meters to 15-20 meters). The project includes 1.05 kilometers of embankment construction and the installation of three bridges.
The total project cost is 8.5 billion won from the provincial budget, consisting of 5.4 billion won for construction, 2.2 billion won for compensation, and 900 million won for design and other expenses.
