Since the beginning of the year, the province has worked to freeze or minimize increases in public utility fees determined by the province, such as city bus and taxi fares and city gas retail supply costs. It has also requested cooperation for the annual increase in water and sewage fees, striving to stabilize prices that residents can feel.
Furthermore, to eradicate price gouging at tourist destinations, the province took a proactive approach by operating a tourism inconvenience report center using the provincial government call center (120) for the first time in the country, and piloting a QR code-based reporting system centered on beaches.
In addition, the province continued to implement policies to expand the designation of 'Good Price Stores' and promote their use, receiving excellent evaluations in the qualitative assessment category as well.
