It also aimed to select the pesticides to be supported in 2026.
To effectively control fire blight, a nationally regulated quarantine pest, the Agricultural Technology Center plans to supply a total of four pesticide applications in accordance with the fire blight monitoring and control project guidelines: one application before flowering and three applications during flowering. In addition, the Center emphasized the importance of preemptive prevention, highlighting the need for thorough orchard management by growers, including the removal of cankers during the overwintering period, regular pesticide applications starting before flowering, and disinfection of work tools.
Furthermore, pesticides for foreign, sporadic, and early-stage rice pests and diseases have also been selected and will be supplied at appropriate times based on the occurrence period of each pest and disease.
The Agricultural Technology Center operates a comprehensive crop pest and disease diagnostic laboratory to address field challenges faced by farmers. Based on scientific analysis, the Center plans to actively minimize crop damage by providing rapid and accurate diagnosis and prescriptions for pests and diseases.
