Hanmi Semiconductor Donates 170 Million Won for Year-End and New Year Season
Hanmi Semiconductor announced that it has provided 170 million won in scholarships and donations to 11 domestic and international social contribution organizations for the year-end and New Year season.
As part of its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management, Hanmi Semiconductor has been supporting nine domestic organizations since 2019, including Holt Children's Services, Save the Children, National Angel Free Meal Center, Good Neighbors, Korea Heart Foundation, Doctors Without Borders, World Vision, Korean Red Cross, and Project Soldier. The company also donates to two overseas organizations: Children Are Us Foundation and World Vision Taiwan in Taiwan.
Hanmi Semiconductor has carried out a variety of social contribution activities that respect life and human rights, such as supporting abused and low-income children, providing free meals for the elderly living alone, covering medical expenses for heart disease patients, providing emergency medical relief, supporting young adults preparing for independence, and honoring Korean War veterans. The company has expanded its support beyond Korea to include assistance for children with intellectual disabilities and protection for vulnerable children in Taiwan, thereby fulfilling its responsibilities as a global corporation.
The cumulative amount donated by Hanmi Semiconductor from 2019 to this year totals approximately 630 million won, reflecting the company's ongoing efforts to fulfill its corporate social responsibility.
Kim Jungyoung, Vice President of Hanmi Semiconductor, stated, "Sustainable growth for a company is even more meaningful when it is achieved together with society," adding, "We will continue to contribute to building a more inclusive society through ongoing sharing activities."
Founded in 1980, Hanmi Semiconductor is a global semiconductor equipment company with about 320 clients worldwide. It currently holds the top global market share for TC Bonders used in High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) production. Since 2002, the company has focused on strengthening intellectual property rights, filing 150 patents related to HBM equipment to date, and continuously enhancing its technological competitiveness.
