Worker in His 60s Dies in Crane Collapse Accident at Southern End of Jamsil Bridge
A worker died in an accident involving a crane collapse at a construction site on the southern end of Jamsil Bridge in Songpa-gu, Seoul.
According to the Songpa Fire Station, at around 3:19 p.m. on December 18, a crane toppled over at the site of the Jamsil Bridge South IC connection improvement project, causing a man in his 60s, identified as Mr. A, to be trapped underneath.
Despite the efforts of 42 firefighters who were dispatched to rescue him, Mr. A was ultimately pronounced dead.

Songpa-gu issued a safety alert via text message, advising, "Due to the crane collapse, traffic congestion has occurred on the entry section from Olympic-daero toward Gangil IC and Jamsil Station. Please use alternative routes."
