According to Hampyeong County on December 17, the county recently held the 4th "Toothbrush Change Day." More than 100 local residents participated in the event.
"Toothbrush Change Day" is a program designed to reduce the proliferation of oral bacteria through regular toothbrush replacement and to establish proper brushing habits. The Hampyeong County Public Health Center operates the program four times a year, creating an environment where residents can naturally manage their oral health in daily life.
At the event, participants exchanged their old toothbrushes for new ones. In addition, dental professionals, including dentists and oral health experts, provided direct services such as oral examinations, education on correct brushing techniques, guidance on when to replace toothbrushes, instructions on using fluoride mouth rinse, and information on utilizing oral care products such as dental floss. This helped improve residents' understanding of oral hygiene.
All participants received oral hygiene products, including fluoride mouth rinse, enabling them to put the educational content into practice at home. The event served as a meaningful opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of oral hygiene management.
