Hyundai Green Food Becomes First in Food Industry to Receive Consecutive "Health-Friendly Company" Certifications
Programs Focused on Chronic Diseases, Lifestyle Habits, and Mental Health
Hyundai Green Food announced on the 16th that it has been certified as a Health-Friendly Company by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
The "Health-Friendly Company" certification is awarded by the Ministry of Health and Welfare to companies that serve as exemplary models in operating health-friendly systems for their employees, thereby contributing to and supporting the improvement of employee health. The certification is valid for three years. Hyundai Green Food became the first company in the food industry to receive this certification in 2022, and has once again been recognized this year.
A company representative stated, "In this evaluation, we received high marks in four categories: health-friendly management, health-friendly culture, health-friendly activities, and employee satisfaction, which led to our re-selection as a Health-Friendly Company." The representative added, "In particular, our focus on three core management areas-chronic diseases, lifestyle habits, and mental health-and the operation of diverse programs in these areas played a key role in obtaining the certification."
For the chronic disease area, the company leverages its strengths in care food manufacturing to provide personalized nutrition counseling and customized care food for each employee. In addition, various fitness programs such as yoga, Zumba, and posture correction training are offered to help employees manage blood sugar levels and body fat. In the area of lifestyle habits, programs are available for employees who apply, including physical fitness improvement, smoking cessation, and obesity management. For mental health, the company provides specialized counseling programs to help manage job-related stress for emotional laborers and to support self-development.
