The relief kits were prepared through a packing volunteer activity involving KT&G employees and include winter blankets, scarves, and ready-to-eat meals. The cold wave relief kits will be delivered to 400 households in the Donui-dong jjokbangchon (shantytown) who are in need of assistance.
"KT&G Sangsang Nanum On-Jeong" is a corporate social responsibility program that KT&G conducts annually to spread the culture of sharing at the end of the year. Since November, KT&G headquarters, sales offices, manufacturing plants, and affiliates have joined together to actively participate in donation events and volunteer activities, delivering warmth to the local community.
This year, KT&G is strengthening its support for regions at risk of depopulation and for vulnerable groups affected by the climate crisis. The company plans to deliver a total of 60,000 briquettes, 40,000 kilograms of kimchi, and over 8,000 kilograms of rice to neighbors in need across the country.
