KNAMO Wins Grand Prize in Environment Category at Korea ESG Awards
The Korea National Arboretum Management Office (KNAMO) announced on the 11th that it received the Grand Prize in the Environment (E) category at the 3rd Korea ESG Awards, hosted by the Korea ESG Society.

View original imageIn the evaluation, KNAMO was recognized for its excellence in the environmental sector, including the establishment of a green management system based on environmental information disclosure, the implementation of nature-based carbon neutrality, activities for the conservation and restoration of forest biodiversity, the development of private sector cooperation ESG models, and the promotion of environmental culture based on citizen participation.
In particular, the organization was highly praised for its contributions to enhancing biodiversity by propagating rare and endemic plants, its ESG project to restore areas damaged by wildfires in the Baekdudaegan mountain range, achieving greenhouse gas reduction targets for six consecutive years under the target management system, and building an environmental culture platform.
