Eom Kiho has actively sponsored ordinances directly related to the lives of residents in various fields such as education, safety, veterans' affairs, and agriculture and forestry. Major legislative initiatives, including the complete revision of the ordinance on safety management for field experience learning and the amendment of the ordinance on honoring and supporting veterans, have been recognized as legislation that aligns with ESG values, leading to this award.
In his acceptance speech, Eom Kiho stated, "Ordinances are the most direct policy tool to change the safety and quality of life for residents," adding, "I believe this award is not for me personally, but for all the residents and the executive branch who have worked together for Gangwon’s sustainable future." He continued, "I will continue legislative activities to spread ESG values throughout administration, education, and the local community."
