Time reported that the sing-along screenings held in Brooklyn sold out every day, noting, "Not only children but also adult audiences sang along and were fully immersed." The magazine further commented, "Since 'Frozen' in 2013, there have been few animated films that have permeated daily life so deeply."
Regarding the main OST "Golden," Time praised it as "an upbeat yet irresistibly catchy song," adding, "The Korean details and vibrant visuals complete the emotional tone of the film."
Korean composer Ejae, who participated in the music production, said in an interview with Time, "The message that 'imperfection can also be beautiful' resonates with many viewers within Korea's culture of perfectionism."
Time cited the natural depiction of Korean traditional food culture, herbal clinics, and bathhouses, as well as the OST lineup featuring K-pop producers such as Teddy and Lindgren, as key factors behind the film's success. The magazine analyzed this as "a new phase in which K-culture is moving into the mainstream of global content."
