Navigation App "TMAP" Experiences Morning Access Disruption... Restored in 2 Hours (Comprehensive)
"Internal System Issue... Efforts to Prevent Recurrence"
The navigation app 'TMAP' experienced temporary issues with access and route guidance on the morning of December 10.
According to T map Mobility, which operates TMAP, the disruption occurred at around 8:09 a.m. and was fully resolved by approximately 10:00 a.m. It took about 1 hour and 51 minutes to restore the service after the issue began.
Due to the disruption, when users launched the TMAP app, they encountered an error code along with a message stating, "The service is delayed. Please try again later." Although app access became possible afterward, a service delay message appeared when users requested route guidance after setting their destination.
The cause of this access issue was identified as an internal system problem within TMAP. T map Mobility explained that external factors such as hacking or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks were not responsible for the disruption. A T map Mobility representative stated, "We are currently investigating the specific cause of the issue," and added, "We immediately began restoration efforts as soon as the incident occurred and applied all available measures quickly to normalize the service."
T map Mobility expressed, "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the service disruption," and added, "We will do our utmost to prevent the recurrence of similar issues."
