Gwangju Literature Museum Launches Exhibition Reinterpreting Literary Works Through Light
"Resonance That Reached Me Beyond Time"
Permanent Exhibition Until December Next Year
The Gwangju Literature Museum is presenting the special exhibition "Resonance That Reached Me Beyond Time," which reinterprets the writings of literary figures through light and video, from December 10, 2025, until December next year.
The city of Gwangju announced that the exhibition "Resonance That Reached Me Beyond Time," which reconstructs writers' records using modern media, will be held year-round in the special exhibition hall on the second floor of the Gwangju Literature Museum. This special exhibition is designed to allow visitors to intuitively feel the continuity of literature and the resonance of emotions.

View original imageThe exhibition centers around the main video, "Resonance That Reached Me Beyond Time." By connecting the studies of writers with today's urban landscapes, it visually demonstrates the temporal depth left by literary records. Scenes where sentences are expressed as flows of light symbolize the expansiveness of literature.
Interactive content for visitors has also been prepared. "A Letter That Resembles My Heart," using a kiosk, recommends sentences that match visitors' current emotions through simple questions, and the printed sentences can be made into bookmarks in the "Feelings at My Fingertips" space.
The light video artwork "Time Being Written" depicts the process of engraving sentences by Gwangju writers in light onto manuscript paper-shaped panels. This visually illustrates that literary records are still alive today.
The exhibition is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with last admission 30 minutes before closing. The museum is closed every Monday, on January 1, during traditional holidays, and on public holidays. Admission is free.
