View original imageOn December 10, Samil PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) announced that it has appointed Janghyuk Choi, former Vice Chairperson of the Personal Information Protection Commission, as Chairman of the AI Trust Committee.
Chairman Janghyuk Choi graduated from the Department of Business Administration at Seoul National University and passed the 36th Higher Civil Service Examination. Over the past 30 years, he has held key positions in both central and local government, including Director General of Planning and Coordination at Ulsan Metropolitan City, Spokesperson for the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Director General of the E-Government Bureau at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Vice Mayor for Administrative Affairs of Incheon Metropolitan City, and Head of the Local Autonomy Planning Division at the Committee on Autonomy and Decentralization. Until September of this year, he served as Vice Chairperson of the Personal Information Protection Commission.

With the appointment of Chairman Choi, Samil PwC plans to expand its AI-related trust services, including regulatory compliance for personal information protection in the digital transformation era and AI certification, and to strengthen its cyber security business. In addition, the company intends to actively pursue projects to enhance fiscal efficiency in the public and non-profit sectors, as well as to promote increased investment by large corporations in local government regional projects.
