The winter kits, which include cold weather supplies such as winter bedding sets and padded vests, as well as daily necessities like rice and instant noodles, provide practical support that directly contributes to improving the quality of life for neighbors during the harsh winter months.
Since 2015, Korea Zinc Onsan Smelter has supported around 100 households each year with winter kits, encouraging vulnerable residents in the community to get through the winter.
A representative from Habitat for Humanity Korea stated, "We are grateful to Korea Zinc for joining us again this year to ensure that vulnerable households do not lose warmth during the cold winter," adding, "We hope that the distributed winter kits will provide real help to neighbors struggling with cold weather and poor housing conditions."
A representative from Korea Zinc said, "It is our social responsibility to identify blind spots in the local community and to share with those who are in real need of support." The representative also expressed gratitude to all employees who participated in this act of love for neighbors again this year.
