Donation of 1 Million Hong Kong Dollars Delivered via Yan Chai Hospital
Funds to Support Medical Services and Financial Aid for Affected Residents
APR announced on December 8 that it has donated 1 million Hong Kong dollars to support recovery efforts at the site of the apartment fire disaster in northern Hong Kong.
APR stated that on December 3, it delivered a donation of 1 million Hong Kong dollars (approximately 180 million Korean won) to Yan Chai Hospital, a public hospital in Hong Kong, to aid in the recovery from the fire disaster.
This fire disaster occurred on November 26 at the Wang Fuk Court apartment complex in the Tai Po district of northern Hong Kong. As of December 3, the disaster had resulted in 159 deaths and over a hundred people injured or missing. The Hong Kong authorities canceled or postponed all official events and designated the period until December 1 as an official mourning period.
APR decided to make the donation to promptly support affected residents and bereaved families, as well as to help restore their homes. The donation delivered to Yan Chai Hospital by APR will be used to purchase daily necessities for residents in the affected area, provide financial support and living assistance, and support recovery through medical services and psychological counseling.
