71 Outstanding Artists Honored
Idus announced on December 8 that it held the "Handmade Award 2025" at the Plenty Convention in Gangnam, Seoul, on December 5.
Now in its ninth year, this awards ceremony highlights outstanding and emerging artists from Idus who have contributed to the development and popularization of the handicraft industry over the past year, and encourages creative artistic activities. The event was attended by more than 300 people, including artists and customers, and featured exhibitions of handmade works, business sessions, and an awards ceremony for outstanding artists.

View original imageThis year's event was held under the theme "Achievable Together," sharing the achievements that Idus and its artists accomplished collaboratively this year. CEO Kim Donghwan took the stage to present updates on major projects, including brand intellectual property (IP) collaborations and a National Heritage Administration business agreement to support the creative activities of intangible heritage bearers, and also announced next year's business plans.
At the awards ceremony for outstanding artists, a total of 71 individuals were honored across 21 categories. This year's grand prize was awarded to the handmade dessert artist from Jeongindang.
