Crafts, Cooking, Coffee... Busan Women's Center Recruiting Students for Next Year's First Semester Curriculum
The Busan Women's Center will begin accepting applications for the "2026 First Semester Curriculum" starting December 8.
This educational program will be held for approximately three months, from January 5 to March 31 next year, to support citizens preparing for employment or starting a business, as well as to help office workers develop their skills.
The center will accept around 1,700 students across 91 courses in nine fields, including crafts, beauty, cooking, coffee, baking and pastry, sewing, foreign languages, computers, and senior education tools. The schedule for each course may be adjusted depending on the program.
There will also be employment certification courses, skill-based lifestyle classes, and evening and weekend classes for office workers. Certification courses include Cooking Technician (Korean and Chinese cuisine), Beautician (makeup, nail, general), ITQ Excel, Basic TOEIC, and Floral Decoration Technician, among others.
Evening classes include Barista Level 2 and foreign language courses such as English, Japanese, and Chinese. On weekends, participants can take family home baking, clothes making, and calligraphy classes.
Any citizen aged 18 or older is eligible to apply. Enrollment will proceed in the order of priority recruitment, general recruitment, and additional recruitment. Priority recruitment is open to socially disadvantaged groups, such as basic livelihood security recipients and families with multiple children, and will take place from December 8 to 10.
General recruitment is divided into the first round (December 17-23) and the second round (December 24-31). If, at the end of the second round, the number of applicants is less than 60% of the total capacity, the course will be canceled. Additional recruitment will take place from January 5 to 11 next year, after classes begin.
