Experience "Warmth and Gratitude" at the "Warm Thread, Grateful Heart" Exhibition
Dong Daejeon Library:
Knitted Works and Life Stories of Grandmothers from Gayang-dong and Jeju Haenyeo
The Dong Daejeon Library is hosting the "Warm Thread, Grateful Heart Exhibition" in the first-floor exhibition hall until December 28, allowing citizens to visually experience and personally engage with feelings of gratitude and warmth.
This exhibition is a complex, experiential event that combines knitted artworks with psychological counseling programs.
The exhibition features four types of content: spaces inspired by picture books, works by elderly knitting artists, and psychological healing programs.
"Annabelle's Room" is an immersive space inspired by the picture book "Extra Yarn," offering visitors a warm and comfortable atmosphere.
"Stories from the Past" showcases the life and works of Kim Younga, a Jeju haenyeo and knitting artist, while "Stories for the Future" presents the knitted creations of Kim Mihyun, a resident of the Gayang-dong area.
The "Psychological Counseling: Looking Into the Heart" program is a healing initiative that combines viewing knitted works with emotional exploration, guided by a psychological counselor.
