On December 4, Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province visited Dodun Elementary School and held a meeting with parents to gather a wide range of opinions on expanding educational and cultural infrastructure for students and youth in Hoecheon New Town.

View original imageDue to the recent population growth in Hoecheon New Town, there is a rapidly increasing demand for educational and cultural facilities for children and youth. As a result, ongoing communication is necessary to reflect parents' needs in municipal policies.
During the meeting, parents shared various suggestions to improve the growth environment and guarantee learning rights for local youth, including: the establishment of a new library in Hoecheon New Town, expansion of youth facilities such as a youth cultural center, and revitalization of career and academic counseling centers with expanded programs.
An official from Yangju City stated, "We will thoroughly review what is needed so that children and youth in Hoecheon New Town can fully enjoy learning and cultural activities within the community," adding, "We will also continue to strengthen educational support services such as career and academic counseling, so they can provide practical help for students' future planning."
