Chungbuk Cultural Heritage Guardians Recognized as Outstanding Enterprise for Traditional Thatched-Roof Education
Updream Korea, Cocodrone, and Others Also Receive Awards
The Cultural Heritage Administration will hold the "National Heritage Social Economy Conference" at 2 p.m. on December 5 in the auditorium of the National Palace Museum of Korea, where it will present awards to four outstanding companies.
Chungbuk Cultural Heritage Guardians was selected as the "Outstanding Social Enterprise in the Field of National Heritage." The organization was recognized for operating traditional thatched-roof education programs and developing experiential teaching materials, thereby contributing to the preservation of traditional techniques.
Three organizations were selected as "Outstanding Business Development Cases." These include Updream Korea, which introduced design products based on national heritage themes; Cocodrone, which held a drone competition using model paper drones inspired by national heritage; and PAL Cultural Heritage Center, which spread related knowledge through archaeology lectures and the development of experiential teaching materials.
The Cultural Heritage Administration supports social enterprises by designating preliminary social enterprises and providing business development funding to promote startups and job creation utilizing national heritage. As of this month, there are 31 social enterprises and 76 preliminary social enterprises.

Meanwhile, the policy announcement event will feature participation from Professor Jang Jongik of Hanshin University, Professor Lee Yubeom of Jeonju University, and Professor Jeong Sangcheol of Korea National University of Cultural Heritage.
