BNK Busan Bank Steps Up for Childhood Financial Habits... Holds Financial Education Content Production Support Ceremony
Customized Educational Content for Elementary Students
In Line with the Introduction of "Finance and Economic Life" in High School Curriculum
BNK Busan Bank (President Bang Sungbin) is stepping up to support the production of financial education content in collaboration with the Office of Education.
On December 4, Busan Bank held the "BNK Exciting Financial School - Financial Education Content Production Support Ceremony" at the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, together with the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education and the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation. These organizations are joining forces to launch a full-scale educational partnership aimed at enhancing financial literacy among future generations.
This support project is aligned with the government's policy to eradicate youth financial illiteracy. It is in line with the purpose of the new "Finance and Economic Life" subject, which will be introduced into the regular high school curriculum in 2026. In particular, the project is being promoted through collaboration between the Office of Education and the financial sector to secure the golden window for financial education and to strengthen field-oriented financial education.

Ten videos will be created on topics such as planning allowances, scarcity and choice, rational consumption, digital financial safety, and the basics of saving and investing, all designed to be accessible to children. In addition, practice-oriented workbooks based on real-life scenarios will be developed.
Busan Bank plans to support the use of the produced content in elementary schools across the Busan area through the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education starting in March 2026. The project will later expand to develop financial education content for middle school students, marking the first step toward establishing a comprehensive financial education system spanning elementary, middle, and high school years.
Bang Sungbin, President of Busan Bank, stated, "Since foundational learning in childhood is the most important, I hope this support project will improve financial literacy among future generations and provide practical help. Starting with financial education in elementary schools, Busan Bank will fulfill its responsibility as a local financial institution by building a systematic financial education ecosystem that extends to middle and high schools, so that young people can develop sound economic habits."
