This agreement aims to establish a system for technical consultation and information exchange necessary during the planning process for the dome stadium and sports convergence facility project. It encompasses specific measures for practical cooperation, including sharing trends and policies related to the development of sports and cultural complex facilities, technical advice and information exchange for reviewing commercialization strategies, and consultation on potential risk factors that may arise during project implementation.
The roles of each party to the agreement have also been specified. Paju City will share public information (data) available through administrative procedures, Assemblyman Park Jung will provide updates on government policies and related institutional trends, and Daewoo Construction will serve as a private-sector technical advisor based on its experience in constructing large-scale complex facilities.
Paju City is a leading growth city in northern Gyeonggi Province, connected by major transportation networks such as the GTX-A metropolitan express railway, Gyeongui-Jungang Line, Seoul-Munsan Expressway, and the Second Capital Region Ring Expressway. As the city has steadily expanded in scale and its population continues to grow, the need to expand large-scale sports and cultural infrastructure has been consistently raised.
Reflecting these regional conditions and citizen demand, the city has designated the development of the dome stadium and sports convergence facility as a strategic project. Currently, a "feasibility study and master plan establishment service" is underway to review the project's economic viability, site suitability, and business feasibility.
This agreement is also expected to significantly enhance the quality of the plan by supplementing the process with private-sector expertise and on-site experience.
