Jinan County to Hold "Hometown Love Donation Program" Event Until December 12
30 Winners to Receive Additional Pork Gift Set by Lottery
Jinan County in North Jeolla Province is holding the year-end event for the Hometown Love Donation Program, "Become the Santa of Jinan," until December 12 to mark the end of the year.
According to the county on December 4, this event was organized to boost interest and participation in the Jinan County Hometown Love Donation Program by offering additional benefits to donors, especially as year-end tax settlement draws increased attention at this time of year.
Anyone who donates at least 100,000 won to Jinan County online (through Hometown Love e-Eum) or offline (at NH Nonghyup Bank) and orders a thank-you gift will be automatically entered into the event. Among the participants, 30 people will be selected by lottery to receive an additional popular thank-you gift from Jinan County-pork valued at approximately 30,000 won-on top of the existing benefits.
The county is also running a goodwill donation campaign that allows participants to donate the additional thank-you gift (pork) to local children instead of receiving it themselves. The re-donated items will be delivered to group homes within Jinan County and used to help create warm meals during the holiday season.
