Guri City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyunghyun) announced on December 4 at the Baekbeom Kim Koo Memorial Hall that it received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award as an excellent institution in the Nutrition Plus Project Promotion category at the "2025 Nutrition Day" commemorative event hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

In particular, Guri City was praised for establishing a 1:2 management system of nurses and nutritionists for pregnant women, infants, and vulnerable households, providing tailored nutrition education and behavioral coaching, and enhancing food support to increase the effectiveness of the project.
Mayor Baek Kyunghyun stated, "This award is the result of our continued efforts to guarantee citizens’ right to health and improve their quality of life," and added, "We will continue to implement various policies to address nutritional imbalances and promote a healthy food culture."
