[New Release] Naracella Launches "Montes Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon Year of the Horse Edition"
Limited Release of 10,000 Bottles to Celebrate the Year of the Red Horse in 2026
Naracella announced on December 4 that it will launch a limited edition of 10,000 bottles of the "Montes Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon Year of the Horse Edition" to celebrate the Year of the Red Horse (Byeong-O Year) in 2026.
This edition features a special package of the "Montes Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon," which has become the brand’s icon since the establishment of Montes Winery in 1987. The label design incorporates a "Red Horse" symbolizing strength, passion, courage, and good fortune. The wine carries a message wishing for 2026 to be a "year of new beginnings and leaps forward," making it an ideal gift wine for expressing heartfelt sentiments to loved ones during the year-end and Lunar New Year seasons.
The label centers on the angel image, which is the symbol of Montes, and adds dynamic silhouettes of powerful red horses painted with brush strokes on both sides, evoking an Oriental spirit and vibrancy. The combination of gold and red accent colors on a white background completes the unique and elegant style of Montes Alpha.
Montes Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon is the flagship premium red wine of Montes, characterized by rich blackberry and plum aromas, silky tannins, and a well-balanced structure. It offers a complex bouquet with various berry and blackcurrant notes, complemented by hints of cigar box, vanilla, and mint. The harmony of fruitiness and oak results in an overall smooth and elegant style.

Since the 2012 vintage, the winery has adopted the "Dry Farming" method, supplying only the minimum amount of water necessary, which has further intensified the concentration and depth of the grapes. This has resulted in a refined structure with moderate weight, and while the wine is enjoyable immediately, it develops even greater depth after about five years of aging. Additionally, it is recognized for its excellent aging potential, lasting up to 10 to 15 years.
