View original imageThe Gangwon MICE Alliance is a public-private council established to foster the Gangwon MICE industry and enhance its competitiveness, consisting of a total of 125 member companies. Approximately 40 members attended this annual general meeting. The significance of this meeting lies in going beyond sharing achievements to establishing a practical foundation for cooperation to further advance the event in 2026.
During the meeting, participants shared the results of MICE attraction efforts in 2025, cases of alliance cooperation, and the operational status of major venues, with a focus on strengthening the network among member companies. They also discussed directions for joint marketing to expand MICE attraction in 2026.
In particular, through working-level discussions on operational improvements, the participants reviewed proposals for enhancing joint events next year and explored new avenues for cooperation. They discussed the division of roles and implementation schedules for each organization in detail, presenting practical tasks to further expand Gangwon's MICE infrastructure. In addition, the wellness program experience (singing bowl meditation) held alongside the meeting confirmed the potential for utilizing Gangwon's wellness-based MICE content.

Choi Sunghyun, CEO of the Gangwon Tourism Foundation, stated, "This year, the Gangwon MICE Alliance has established itself as an important partner driving the MICE industry in Gangwon," adding, "In 2026, we will further strengthen inter-agency cooperation so that Gangwon can emerge as an attractive MICE destination." The foundation plans to begin in earnest the completion of a Gangwon-style MICE cooperation system for 2026, starting with this annual general meeting.
