View original imageThe city announced on December 4 that at the "2025 Korea Communication Awards" ceremony held at the Korea Press Center on December 3, its municipal newsletter "Goyang News" received the National Assembly Climate, Energy, Environment, and Labor Committee Chairperson's Award.
Now in its 35th year, the Korea Communication Awards is the most prestigious ceremony in the country, organized by the Korea Editors Association, recognizing outstanding communication materials published by public institutions and private companies.
The municipal newsletter "Goyang News" received high marks for its creative planning, reader-centered content, and ongoing efforts to introduce various changes and expand citizen participation programs.
In particular, the mobile version "Goyang One Pick" is a digital-based newsletter that provides municipal information in the form of a web magazine and e-book. Thanks to its rich visual content and mobile-friendly design, it has recorded over 240,000 cumulative annual visits.
A city official stated, "The 13 consecutive years of awards for Goyang News were made possible thanks to the continued support of our citizens," adding, "We will continue to enhance satisfaction by meeting the expectations of our citizens."
