Daejeon City Presents Plaques of Appreciation to Contributors to "Gapcheon Ecological Lake Park" Development Project
Recognizing Contributions to Eco-Friendly Premium Park Development:
15 Individuals from Construction Firms Honored
Established as a New Landmark, Attracting 220,000 Visitors Within Just One Month of Opening
On December 2, Daejeon City presented commendation certificates and plaques of appreciation to those who contributed to the development of Gapcheon Ecological Lake Park, which has become a major attraction, drawing 220,000 visitors within just one month of its opening. The awards ceremony was held in the main conference room at City Hall.
Mayor Lee Jangwoo selected 15 individuals from related organizations, presenting commendation certificates to 7 and plaques of appreciation to 8, in recognition of their contributions to the creation of the lake park.
Since its completion and opening in September, Gapcheon Ecological Lake Park has been credited with enhancing citizens’ leisure culture, boosting Daejeon's brand value, and revitalizing the local economy, all while contributing to eco-friendly urban development where nature and people coexist.
The recipients of the commendation certificates were: Ha Youngmyung, Vice President of Suseong Engineering Co., Ltd. (Construction Project Management); Cho Jin-ho, General Manager of Shinsegae Construction Co., Ltd. (Contract Construction); Lee Daeyeol, CEO of Jangwon Construction Co., Ltd. (Contract Construction); Jeong Geonsang, CEO of Uri Landscape Construction Co., Ltd. (Landscape Construction); Kim Yangsu, CEO of Namdo Landscape (Landscape Construction); Lee Jongho, Director of Yongyi Construction Co., Ltd. (Civil Engineering); and Eom Kyungyong, CEO of Korea Tech Co., Ltd. (Water Treatment Facilities).
The plaques of appreciation were awarded to: Park Heondeok, Director of Suseong Engineering Co., Ltd. (Construction Project Management); Cho Junsu, Executive Director of Hongik Engineering Group (Construction Project Management); Kwak Seungjun, Manager of Shinsegae Construction Co., Ltd. (Landscape Construction); Kim Daejung, Director of Jangwon Construction Co., Ltd. (Civil Engineering); Lee Gwangjae, Director of Uri Landscape Construction Co., Ltd. (Landscape Construction); Jeong Hyunsang, Executive Director of Uri Landscape Construction Co., Ltd. Mayor Lee Jangwoo stated, "Your contributions have been instrumental in establishing the lake park as a new landmark for our citizens, attracting 220,000 visitors within just one month of opening. Moving forward, we will do our best to expand convenience facilities and develop enriching cultural experience programs within the park, so that it can become a beloved, top-tier park for all citizens."
