Yongin City to Build 1,326-Square-Meter Temporary Public Parking Lot Near Sanghyeon Library
Agreement with GH for Free Use of Idle Land... 40-Space Lot to Be Completed Within the Year
Parking Shortage for Library and Family Center Visitors Expected to Ease
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on December 2 that it has decided to create a temporary public parking lot on an idle site near Sanghyeon Library in Sanghyeon-dong, Suji-gu, to alleviate parking shortages in the area.
This temporary parking lot is intended to address the lack of parking spaces for visitors to Sanghyeon Library and the Yongin City Family Center.
The site for the parking lot is a 1,326-square-meter idle lot located at 1129-1 Sanghyeon-dong, owned by Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation (GH). The city plans to build a parking lot with 40 spaces on this site. To this end, the city has agreed with GH to use the land free of charge until it is sold.
The city aims to complete the parking lot within this year. Starting in March next year, in order to provide convenience and systematic parking management for visitors, the city plans to introduce Sanghyeon Library's parking control system to the temporary parking lot.
